Installation and Release Notes: Version 1.476 (April 12, 2024)

Installation: Please just click on the downloaded file. It will self extract and start the installation. It is best if you temporarily disable any antivirus software. If you are using an AMD system, please logoff and logon after the installation. The installation will be in a new folder and you can uninstall previous releases at any time using the Windows control panel. If you receive an error concerning the c++ redistribution, please just continue. Note if you keep your antivirus enabled you may get a false positive. You can check the downloaded file at VirusTotal.com to ease any fears.

- There was an error using HRDSatTrack.exe where the Doppler shifts were not working.
- Is is no longer necessary to not use special characters in the ClubLog password field.

- Added keyboard entry of the VFO A frequency. To use this function, press Control Shift V to focus in the VFO A box and then press it again to enter the frequency. Press enter when done
- Added the Speech Speed function in Tools, Settings
- Added the Control W keystroke command to announce the SWR while transmitting

- Although the code for managing the remote PreAmps in the 9700 is present, a firmware issue in the 9700 makes it inoperable. Set it up using the radio itself by band.
- After considering having a control for Drive Gain, it was decided to not include this in the control program since the potential for damaging external amps is real.

- Added two new macros. INC+ and INC-. These can be assigned to the F1 and F2 function key macros which can then be used with the Icom RC-28 Jog controller to increase and decrease the tuning increment.

Fixed
- There were issues with the IC-9700, IC7100 and IC-705 with the RC-28. These have been fixed.
- The IC-9700 was reporting a Vdd voltage that was too low.

Added support for the Icom RC-28 Jog controller. Be sure to open the Tools, Settings, Keyboard and controllers tab and enable the RC-28. A restart will be required. The Plus and Minus keys cycle the digits used for tuning.

There were reports that version 1.400 was closing down on some systems. This is related to the addition of the K-POD controller in the last release. This version removes the offending code. As an alternative, you can just turn off K-POD support in Tools, Settings, Keyboard and Controllers.

Added support for the Elecraft K-POD. This is a jog wheel controller offering a frequency wheel and 8 buttons that correspond to the function key macros in Win4Icom. This controller maintains focus at all times on the Win4Icom application. To use it simply plug it into your PC. Pressing the + and – keys will change the frequency digit it operates on.
